Terms of Service
Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. The service
Relayer ("we", "us") provides a release control plane: a hosted service at https://relayer-three.vercel.app that lets you register software releases, control staged rollouts and update policies, and observe device check-ins for applications you distribute ("the Service"). We serve update decisions and metadata; we do not host or distribute your application binaries.
By creating an account or pointing software at the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Beta status
The Service is currently in beta. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind and without a service level agreement. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may introduce paid plans with reasonable advance notice. We work hard to keep update endpoints available - your devices falling back to their currently-installed version is the designed failure mode - but you should not yet depend on the Service for safety-critical update flows.
3. Your account and content
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, API keys and webhook secrets, and for everything published through them. Release artifacts referenced in the Service (URLs, checksums, notes) remain yours; you grant us the license needed to store and serve that metadata to your devices. You must have the rights to the software you distribute through the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to distribute malware or code intended to harm end users or their devices; to update software onto machines whose owners have not consented to receiving it; to attempt to access other customers' data; or to probe, overload or disrupt the Service (rate limits are enforced). We may suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practicable.
5. Fees
The Service is free during beta. When paid plans launch, pricing will be published in advance; continued use of paid features after the notice period constitutes acceptance. We will not silently start charging you.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time; deleting an app removes its channels, releases, devices and check-ins (audit records are retained). We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms. On termination, update endpoints for your apps stop answering - devices keep running their installed versions.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, during beta, is zero).
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via the dashboard or email at least 14 days before taking effect. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
